Alexander the great was born on 356 BC. His father King Philip II was the ruler of Macedon and his mother Olympias was the queen of Epirus. Alexander's first teacher was Leonidas. After Leonidas Alexander took lessons in arts and science from Lysimachus. Iliad was Alexander's most favorite book. Alexander was taught by great Greek philosopher Aristole from age 13 to 16. When he was 18 years old he became the commander of left wing. Alexander then conquered then whole Persian empire. He became known as ALEXANDER THE GREAT.
